day 6

I can not begin to discribe how well we are treated.  The Rotarians have gotten us tours in churches, catacombs and ruins that are closed to the public.  Private viewings of billion dollar art collections and fed us like we were kings.
This morning Tara and I  visited a culinary school or school of turism.  This is just one of 5 kitchen classrooms and they they also have a "resturant" the students take turns learning theory and practice.  The students doing practice prepar the meals and serve the students working on theory that day.

Another 4 course lunch, i forgot the photo of desserts.

just something prety on they drive to our afternoon visit.
Roman ruins,  yes these are from the second century.... nearly 2000 years old.
 pretending to be gladiators

Mosaic floor estimated to be from aournd 105 ad

Fort  Gavi- dating back to pre-Roman or Roman times.
Our team spend the remainder of the day touring Villa Sparina, an 18th century cellar and now a resort as well.  The 100 acers are owned by one of the Gavi Rotarians, and he hosted us for the afternoon.  We were able to learn about the process used to make their world famous wines and see the lovely farm/ vinyard.

But i'm having trouble uploading the photo's from this portion of the day, so i'm going to sleep!
